We´re born on an inhale, and die on an exhale. And all the time between we use the breath to laugh, relax, sing, cry, exercise – to live! Come and learn more about the practices behind the breath, how to use it for any outcome you may want, using the breath to feel more alive and present.

Living in an urban environment has its challenges, such as hectic tempo, commuting, crowded streets, constant noise and polluted air. The combined effects can cause our stress levels to constantly be elevated, impacting our general sense of vibrancy and health.

Studies have shown that urban life makes us less stress resilient, changes seen in the brain and the nervous system. By choosing to be mindful and making time for active pauses in your daily rhythm, you can fully enjoy the creative pulse of your city without it taking its toll on your health.

During this course you will learn short and effective practices that bring about mental clarity, emotional stability, and physical relaxation. You can practice wherever you are! In the office, on the train, in the park.

Breathing practices for mental focus, vitality and relaxation.

Qigong routine for purging emotional holding patterns and circulation energy.

Restorative yoga poses.

Seated yoga practices and meditations.

This 4-part course will give you insight into how stress affects your body and brain. You will learn about the stress response and the relaxation response and how the healing mechanisms behind yogic practices works. You will get effective stress management tools for a sustainable approach to life. We have a choice to be stressed, or blessed!

Petra has experience working with stress related illness, exhaustion, anxiety and depression both as yoga therapist and physical therapist.
